I'm leaving tomorrow morning at 6 am for Italy! I am flying to New York first from Seattle to meet a group flight. From there I fly to Munich and then down to Florence. I'm going with my friend Sara, a girl I go to Cornish with. She and I will have 2 other roomates in our apartment in Florence who I dont know yet. I am going to study painting and photography while I am there along with Italian, Art History and drawing. Ive never been to Europe or out of North America so it will be interesting. Ive also never traveled alone but once I make it to New York I will be fine.
My biggest concern before I leave is packing. I'm allowed 2 checked bags and a carry-on. Which wouldnt be a problem at all except I have to bring all of my art stuff with me as well, including 2 very large cameras, one digital and one film. Im going to be there for a little over 3 months so I need a variety of clothes for the different seasons. But besides that I think I'm ready. I still cant believe I am actually going! So the excitment hasn't really hit me yet. I will probably be homesick for the first week or so...I've never been away from home that long. But I'm still pretty excited, once I get there I will probably never want to come home...
Dude you're going to have the time of your fucking life, although I miss you already. Our relationship is like boobs. Can't get enough of em' and when they're gone you miss them and just want to squeeze them = )
ReplyDeleteBut I digress, Italy will be amazing for you, especially because you have only been to America/Canadia. I think you'll get more out of the experience than most. I think your art is about to be breathtaking. Italy fits you.
